Retake Animator Content:
(0:51) – “Bojack Horseman” – heavy revisions to acting to hit emotional beats, revisions to the action to improve the physics and clarity of the action.
(1:09) – Teen Titans action sequence – smoothed out actions to make them more fluid and readable, fixed perspective in various shots, redid the animation of the magical black bird. Made a lot of adjustments to camera moves to improve the flow
(1:27) – Teen Titans fire extinguisher scene – dramatically exaggerated the fire extinguisher action to push the comedy, adjusted the timing of his dive into the pile and standing back up to feel smoother and clearer. Redid the arm falling and re-attaching animation to better match the director’s intent, making it snappier for comedic effect.
(1:35) – Teen Titans flying battle – Pushed the pose and action of Robin’s throw for clarity and flow, worked to make the action match better between that and the next shot.
(1:41) – Teen Titans theater scene – Pushed Robin’s expressions to match the director’s intent, improving readability of his emotions and the comedy of the shot.
(1:55) – Teen Titans “bust a move” scene – lots of adjustments to the actions to make them clearer and exaggerated, redid Robin’s dialog acting to better fit what he was doing, resolved an issue with the camera and perspective of the rail-grinding shot.
(2:04) – Teen Titans Starfire hug scene – redid her flying in and out of the scene, to make both the action and the emotion of the scene land better. Redid most of her lipsync and expressions, and the timing of her acting throughout to make it more of a sad, touching moment.
(2:18) – Bojack Horseman map scene – redid much of the animation of the man with the map, fixing what was originally rather stilted animation that wasn’t selling the comedy of the bit. The revised animation flows better in regards to timing, the physical mechanics of the map opening and his interactions with it, and the comedy.
